Capito Family Time (Mom’s Side - Auntie Mac’s Birthday, Saturday January 14, 2012)

So today was pretty well spent. I went all the way to San Jose to spend time with my Auntie Mac for her birthday. I even got to see the rest of my mom’s side of the family. It’s nice to see them once in a while. The only thing that really saddens me is that there’s no cousins that’s my age. I mean I have a way older cousin that acts like my age, but it’s sometimes not the same? I just wish I can connect with my older cousins, but because they have families of their own it’s really hard to relate with them yet. On the up side, I did get to spend time with my way super older yet super close cousin Chris. We slept over at my Auntie Mac’s house that night and tried to pull an all nighter since my brother and I were leaving the next day at 6 in the morning. Man, it was so much fun. I’d really love to relive it really soon.

De Guzman Family Time (Dad’s Side - Nanay’s and Dad’s Birthday, Sunday January 15, 2012)

Things were really going up an down today. We had an at home mass which was nicee. And there was a lot of good food. And lots of laughter. I would be having such a great time with my cousins, but there would always be this small argument that turns into a big argument. And then misunderstandings. And then not enough cooperation. By the time I left I was in a so so mood. Like it was fun, but unhappy at the same time. I’m so close with them, but the adults always need to talk about how bad relationships are.. And what not.. Honestly, it’s getting really tiring now.. Idk how much more I can take. I’m glad to have those cousins though that can make me laugh endlessly.

By the time both parties were over, I saw many differences on both sides of the family. I felt different when I hung out with each side. There were some ups and downs, but one thing for sure is that I love them both the same. I might not be super close with one side, or I might have a lot of drama with the other. One thing for sure is that there are people I love ever so dearly on both sides.
